Beer Glass Explodes on Camera in "Haunted" Pub

Is it paranormal action or down to math?

Punters were sitting having a chat when there seemed a glass to explode in front of them in The Salmon in Belford.

Donna Duns and landlords Michael, who've run the pub for three decades, shared footage of the incident on Facebook and state it's not the first event.

Michael, 38, said:"The glass was around for about 20 minutes and there was half a pint in it.

"I have heard the bar is haunted off a few people before which I believe now after this happened.

"The three tables at the movie have been proven to be where primary incidents occur regarding glasses moving and falling off tables.

"We've seen two glass moving episodes but not breaking like that."

Other ghostly events have also been caught on camera,'' he said.

"There is another video of one of our pub staff hearing or feeling something in her ear whilst serving, you can see on camera she is clearly spooked," he explained.

But some Facebook users were less convinced that it was paranormal activity which led to the glass to crush and was merely down to"physics".

One person said it had been down to the simple fact from being washed, the glass may have experienced fractures, and a sudden change in temperature after coming from a hot steam glass washer. They said:"A sudden decrease in temperature, like being exposed to ice cold lager causes the glass to suddenly shrink, the micro cracks become unstable and fail resulting in just what you see in this movie. Physics in action, Not paranormal."
